Ten more people were killed in flood-related incidents like drowning, snakebites and waterborne diseases in the country's flood-hit areas in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning. According to Health Department, the death toll from this year's monsoon flooding climbed up to 1,056 with the fresh victims. Meanwhile, the government has launched VGF programme in 41 out of the 46 flood-hit districts. Under the programme, each of the 29.81 lakh flood-affected families will receive 10 kg of rice.
