An opinion sharing meeting on Community Policing was held on 17th September in the Upazila auditorium building. Additional Police Super of Bagerhat Md. Miraj Uddin Ahmed delivered the speech as the chief guest and Chitalmari Upazila Nirbahee Officer Md. Alen Sayeed as special guest while Chitalmari Thana Officer-in-Charge Md Balur Hassain chaired in the meeting.

Among others, in the meeting, Ashok Kumar Baral UP chairman of Charbaniari, UP Chairman of Chitalmari Sadar Mr. Daudul Islam Lintu Khan, UP Chairman of Kalatala Sheikh Farid Ahmed spoke about the necessity of community policing and its materialising. A.S.I. Mr. Rabbani conducted the meeting.

Speakers in the meeting emphasised on the immediate constitution of community policing and the development of law and order situation of the Upazila. On demand, Additional Police Super also assured the meeting to take necessary steps against the fitnessless buses and its unexpert drivers plying buses on the road from Munsigonj to Patgati.
