Senior Upazila Fishery Officer Md Rezaul Islam with police force raided and seized illegal nets of fishing catching worth about Taka 67,000 from different beels of Baraigram upazila on September 16.

These illegal nets were burnt in Upazila Parishad campus in presence of acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Enamul Haque and other departmental officers on the day-Nets were 2 Badai-nets worth about Tk 60 thousand, one Khara-net worth about Tk 2 thousand and 20 current-nets worth about 5 thousand.

Concerned authorities also raided and seized illegal fishing badai-nets worth about Tk. 40 thousand from the Kaikhula beel on September 13. These nets also were burnt at the village Champta in presence of local public on that day.
