Transport worker killed in road accident

UNB, Goalandu

A transport worker was crushed under the wheels of a truck at Doulatia Ferry Ghat here Friday noon. The dead was identified as Atwar Miah, 45, son of late Mokhlesur Rahman of mosque para under the poura area. He was a staff of Sohel Paribahan.

Police quoting witnesses said Atwar died on the spot when a truck hit him from behind while he was trying to get into the ferry at about 12noon.

On information, police rushed in and arrested truck driver Dulal Adhikari. A case was file.
