A court of Dhaka yesterday issued warrant of arrest against two senior teachers of Dhaka University accused in connection with the incident of Dhaka University which occurred last month while Metropolitan Sessions Judge of Dhaka passed warrant order against a former Additional Inspector General of Police for dodging income-tax.

Earlier, chargesheets against Dr Sadrul Amin, President of Dhaka University Teachers' Association and Nimchandra Bhowmic, another teacher of the university, as they failed to appear beore the court Thursday. Magistrate S S Ferdous Ali issued the warrant of arrest against them.

Md Shahidullah Khan, former Additional Inspector General of Police concealed Taka 76 lakh 53 thousand 820 in his income tax returns from 2000-2001 to 2006-2007 which caused income tax evasion to the tune of Tk 54,832. Shahid Nawshad, Assistant Commissioner of Taxation sued the former Additional Inspector General of Police while Md Azizul Haque, Metropolitan Session Judge of Dhaka took cognisance of the offence and issued warrants of arrest against the accused.
