Practice Twenty20: Bangladesh lose to Kenya

Bangladesh National Cricket team lost to Kenyan National Cricket team by six wickets in their practice Twenty20 match at the Willowmoore Park in Benoni on Sunday.

Sent in to bat first, Bangladesh scored 116 off 16.3 overs.

In reply, Kenya reached the winning target making 117 for the loss of four wickets when they had just one ball to spare.

Opener Tamim Iqbal notched up the day's highest of 56 facing 73 deliveries. He hit eight boundaries and an over boundary.

Aftab Ahmed and Nadif Chowdhury were the other batsmen for Bangladesh who could reach double-digit figures scoring 17 and 12 runs respectively.

N Odhiambo of Kenya grabbed three wickets giving away 37 runs while LN Onyango, TM Odoyo, RL Bhunda chipped in with two wickets each for 19, 21 and 24 runs respectively.

Later, SteveTikolo cracked a windy 36 off 25 balls including five fours.

Besides, O Odoya, O Obuyo, T Mishra and TM Odoyo added 21, 16, 16 and 13 runs respectively to the Kenyan total.

Mohammad Ashraful bagged a pair of wickets in lieu of 19 runs while Farhad Reza and Syed Russel took one wicket each for 19 and 22 runs respectively.
