Mahbub of Sheikh Russel KC emerged champion in the men's singles and Rumi of Abahani Limited clinched the women's singles title of the Sam Open Table Tennis Tournament winning their respective final on Saturday.

Mahbub beat Hamlet of Biman by 4-2 sets while Rumi crushed teammate Jayati by 4-0 sets in the finals played at the NSC Wooden Floor Gymnasium.

In the boys group (under-14), Palash of Palollic became champion defeating teammate Antu by 4-2 sets.

Information Secretary Didarul Anwar was present at the concluding ceremony as chief guest and distributed the prizes.

Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation president Mohammad Abu Solaiman Chowdhury was also present on the occasion.
