Eve-teasing in the municipal town, Nalchity is increasing at an alarming rate. The victim of the eveteasers are mostly school and college going girl students. There is no street in the town where the girl students can move safe and sound, guardians alleged. Some guardians alleged they have been compelled to send their daughters to other towns for education or to give in marriage at an early age as Nalchity town is not safe town for smooth movement

Most of the eve-teasers wait standing at BIP road, Hospital morh, Mallickpur bridge, steamerghat, Shabujbag area, Bandar primary road, High School road, College road and several places of the town at around 9 AM and at around 4 PM when the girl students go to their respective educational institutions and come back home from there.

The eveteasers pelt different types of slang language and often pull the scaf of the girls but they have to keep quiet and silently take all the insults inflicted upon them, guardians also alleged.

The eveteasers are so disobedient and reckless that they don't abstain from teasing the girls accompanied by their parents. even newly married couples are often teased by them, the sufferers alleged.

Most of the guardians have to remain anxious for their beloved daughters, guardians exclaimed. Masud Khan, Chairman, Nalchity Pourashava acknowledging the facts said that necessary measures would be taken against the eve teasers soon. Separate drives would be introduced including local unit commissioners and guardians to ensure safe and smooth movement for the girl students, he added.
