Six teachers of Rajshahi University detained on charge of provoking unrest on the campus were today granted division in the jail.

Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Fazlul Karim Chowdhury granting division to the teachers set September 11 for framing charge against them. Motihar police filed two cases against them on August 23 under the Emergency Rules. Charge sheet was submited to the court Three teachers arrested on August 23 are Prof Saidur Rahman Khan, Prof Abdus Sobhan and Associate Prof Moloy Kumar Bhoumik. Associate Prof Dulal Chandra Biswas, Selim Reza Newton and Abdullah Al Mamun summoned by the court surrendered on Wednesday.
