The New Nation - Internet Edition

A day-long training workshop was organised on Tuesday jointly by DCCI-SEDF Knowledge Centre (KC) and INTIMATE (Institute of Training Innovative Management & Technology) in the DCCI Auditorium.

The training was organised on "Financial Evaluation of Investment Projects and Structuring Joint Ventures."

The high profile management training was one of the unique and first joint venture training of DCCI-SEDF-KC and INTIMATE which was well participated by different individuals from banks, financial organisations and private enterprises. The participants expressed their satisfaction about the training and asked for more such need-based courses in future.

Hossain Khaled, President, DCCI and M.H. Rahman, Past President, DCCI and CEO INTIMATE was present during the inaugural session and the certificate awarding programme. In response to the requests they pledged offering such training programmes jointly on issues of national importance. M.H. Rahman explained the role of INTIMATE for Human Resource Dvelopment He also narrated the historical development of DBI to its present state of excellence as training house since its inception in 1991. Md. Hossain Ali, Executive Director, DBI mentioned other training programmes currently being offered by DCCI Business Institute (DBI).

The training was conducted by Lim Chor Ghee, a well reputed training professional from Malaysia. The participatory training included topics on investment projects in a developing country, financial calculation like assessing, cash flows, Net Present Values (NPV), Pay Back Period, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), modes of collaboration between foreign partners, development experiences from other Asian countries, investment laws, implication of management control and evaluation of relevant project salient issues.
