Chief Adviser of the Caretaker Government Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed will address in the United Nations General Assembly on September 27 next on behalf of Bangladesh.

One day before that the US President George W Bush will address the inaugural session of UN General Assembly. Chief Adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed will also be present at the inaugural session.

The Bangladesh Mission in the United Nations informed this to ENA. Foreign Adviser Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury is also coming to New York as a member of the Bangladesh delegation to atend the UN General Assembly. However, it could not be confirmed whether Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed will call on President Bush or Foreign Secretary Condolezza Rice during his stay in New York.

Besides, it could not be confirmed whether he would join an international rally which will be organised by former President Bill Clinton in New York.

However, Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed will arrive in New York on September 22 and left for Bangladesh at night on September 27.
