Open market to ensure fair price in Naogaon
NAOGAON, Aug 24: The district administration has set up an open-market to sell vegetables and other essentials, including meat and fish, in the Naogaon town to check the price hike of the items during Ramadan. Deputy Commissioner M Shefaul Karim inaugurated the market at a simple ceremony on Saturday. Major Anwar Hossain and Poura Chairman M Shafiqul Islam, among others, spoke on the occasion. Officials of the district and upazila administrations and Agriculture Extension Department were present The market will remain open from 8 am to 11 am and 2 PM to 6 PM everyday, reports BSS.
