A daylong forum meeting for the members of Taraganj Upazila Forum Commitee (UFC) of Female UP Members was held here on Monday.

Taraganj Unit of BRAC organised the meeting with a view to increasing expertise and efficiency of the female UP members in alleviating poverty in rural areas, enhancing women empowerment and establishing good governance at grass roots level.

Chaired by President of Taraganj UFC Samsunnahar Begum, the meeting was atended by Taraganj UNO M Saiful Alam as the chief guest

BRAC Rangpur Sector Specialist Nahida Parveen, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Rokhsana Banu, Upazila Fisheries Officer Anjuman Ara Begum, Agriculture Officer Wazed Ali and Livestock Officer Dr Dulal Chandra Bhadra were present as the special guests.

Conducted by Secretary of Taraganj UFC Sabina Yasmin, the meeting was participated by 25 female UP members from all over the upazila.
