One passenger killed at the spot and other 3 including driver of Nasimon, locally assembled tempo, in collision with a loaded truck near Batajore on Barisal-Dhaka highway under Gournadi Upazila of Barisal district on Saturday morning.

The death victim was identified as Abul Hashem, 55, a wood log businessman of Matlab upazila under Chandpur district and the injured 3 were tempo driver Ismail, 26, Aleya Begum, 55, and Mobarak Sardar, 55, passengers. Witnesses and injured sources said a Nasimon plying on Shikarpur-Batajore route with ten passengers was hit by a loaded truck from opposite direction at about 10 am.
