At least four people were killed when a passenger crammed bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Shimultali in Tarail upazila under Kishoreganj district on Sunday.

Locals and Police said, the Dhaka bound bus Isha Kha express from Tarail tumbled down the ditch at about 3 PM as the driver lost his control over steering. The dead were identified as Panu Shaka (73), Raton (4) Sharmin (5) and Sualtha (17). All are the residents of Sheemol Hari. The seriously injured passengers were admited to Kishoreganj Modem Hospital and Tarail thana health complex.

Our Correspondent, from Chuadanga says : A young man was killed in a tragic road accident at Kisnopur village on Chuadanga-Alamdanga road under Alamdanga Upazila in Chuadanga district recently.

The dead was identified, Sowkat Ali (25) son of Sairaddin of village Bhogailbagade under same upazila. Witnesses said the accident occurred when an Alamdanga bound bus (Jhenaidah JA110019) from Chuadanga town plunged into a roadside ditch on the spot driver lost control over the staring at 8 AM killing the Sowkatoli on the spot

BSS from Lakkhipur says: A school student was killed at Sonapur village under Sadar Upazila in the district on Saturday night as he gave witness to an incident of stealing a pigeon.

The victim was identified as Shipon, 12, son of Kala Miah of Sonapur and a student of class six of a local school.

Police and locals said Shipon gave witness to an incident of stealing a pigeon against one Mozammel of the same village on Thursday last

Mozammel called Shipon out of his house pretending to take him to local bazaar on Saturday night But instead he took Shipon to a nearby garden and stabbed him to death.

Shipon's body was found in the garden on Sunday morning. Being informed police recovered the body and sent to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.

Father of Shipon filed a murder case with Lakkhipur sadar thana.

BSS from Brahmmanbaria says: An adolescent of village Buriar Char under Nashirnagar Upazila of the district drowned on Sunday.

The adolescent was identified as Dipanker Sarkar, 14, son of Probir Kumar Sarkar.

Police said Dipankar drowned in floodwater around their house on Sunday evening. Later his body was found floating nearby.
