It's sad that altogether a section of columnists with their mispic view come up with an extra interest to make someone he does not deserve this and by doing this they make them unnecessarily subject to criticism, Thus belittling their image indeed. The song is quite obsolete, still they don't hesitate focus on them to the detaste of readers which they create even by criticising other leader of national import. Yes, there was write-up in a vernacular national newspaper. The things highlighted were printed and reprinted throughout the last three decades that has smeared the contribution of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to a great extent.
It's no denying the fact that the Adviser of Law Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Information and Law is a very straightforward, politician who seceded from BAKSAL on its very inception along with Ataul Ghani Osmani, the chief of Armed Forces during the Liberation War. About a decade back, he for the first time pronounced the concept of 'political criminalisation' in our country which is now being dethered tooth and nail through reforms in the national politicking with a renaissance zest all over the country. It's no denying the fact that the very existence of our Indepondence, earned through the hard fought liberation War in which an umpteen Bangladeshis sacrified their blood, will be tarnished. It was not only a struggle of nine months but also of more than two hundred years ever since the battle of plassey in which due to the puppetry and hypocresy of 'Mirzafar' the very Independence of this land of ours was lost.
Barrister Mainul Hosein is not a personality to say anything in personal disposition as he is the Adviser in charge of a number of important ministries and the impromter comment he made on the punishment of Mohiuddin who reserves right to appeal to the higher court and in view of a barrage of questions from the journalists gathering on the eve of reforms regarding eliminating and wiping out the political irminals and the criminalising of politics for bringing out fairness in politics for auguring national dignity is the eye of the people and the foreign media alike. The Caretaker government in vested with the owners task of conducting a credible polls for the smooth transfer of power to a political government. But the situation this time is a different genre in the event of galloping corruptions-decade long-which is why the country necessitated the wiping out of the corruption and the corrupt elements from politics for a good governance. And any lop-sided drives exerted for the said transfer of power would create a point of no return in the governance even to the extent of creating governance ineffectual, nay, the sovereignty and Independence of the country in quandery. The country is now at a holy war against corruption and the incumbent government has been working tirelessly in an impartial and unbiased way but unfortunately a section of political activists have been out to malign the very spirit of the renaissance due to the instigation from outside the border which is very unfortunate.
Shockingly enough our next-door neighbour India has protested punitive action against the leaders of Awami League and its front organisations which is tentamount to pocking nose into our internal affairs. They are quite aware that our country became champion on corruption in the last year of Awami Leagues five years' tenure of governance and the data used were of earlier years. And it's an resord that during the Awami League's governance, the Law and order situation, education and the state of economy become fragile because of their India-bashing stenches and slance in which they become adament to make the country a vassal one of India. This becomes all the more pertinent at the behest of Sheikh Hasina and that's why she is now a burden of Awami League. But Barrister Mainul Hosein is a straight forward man, purely honest, value-oriented and does not compromise for illegal grafts like hers as in her case in the share market scam which is a national treachery and blood sucking of the hapless people who came out by selling their hearth and home in share market in 1996.
But through a ploy of deliberate snatching of the riches of those who did not willingly pay their money earned by the sweet of their brow and this is more heinous than the fortune hunters who willingly and deliberately bribe the high-ups and political criminals out of their ill-got money.
So Awami League and BNP are not the same genre ; in the present debacle Awami League started the process and the BNP followed the suit notwithstanding the fact that it was an imported bane for the nation and in following the suit, uncharacturstic with their heritrage, they were inviting their own death-knell. BNP implemented a number of great projects for the welfare of the country and welfare of the people while the Awami League had none and the very Independence of the country is unsafe in their hands, especially at the hands of Sheikh Hasina and or her family centric dynastic, autocratic rule in the country which has been exposed to the body politic and that message was surfaced during the last national polls. Hence, the disease of the BNP is easily curable, while it's not so easy for the Awami League.
The core of the launched reforms scheme is definitely making the people, leaders and activists self-consions, self-actualised and purely honest though the exemplary punishment to the purpetrators of the heinons crimes like grafts, cxonspiracy against the government.
But did the message properly reach our leaders ? Possibly not yet, as the leaders' hulabulloos continue to sadden the state of affairs; the two Begums are yet clinging to their family-centric governance. Of course the reformists in the political partis are working vigorously to do the needful. Every patrotic citizen should think and act positively for the overall welfare of the people, growth of the economy and betterment of the country at large.
Barrister Mainul Hosein has also to act as the mouth piece of the government. He also founded a national English Daily and maintaining it through lacs of taka as subsidy for months, nay , years all along the three decades of time which has built a good number of columnists in the country. Moreover, his role and contribution to country's journalism is praise worthy. So reason for eastigating him in lien of other heinous things going on and discussed in this write-up is vivid as it imanates from the undue loyalty to their alien mentors.
Did they think what would be the condition had this movement against political criminalisation were launched five-year back ? Definitely at least five years would be saved for the country and its politicking. This is a million dollar question.
Would the government bring back the money sent to the foreign banks along with the political criminals staying abroad with the black money heaped from this country and spending them abroad ? They may again conspire to malign our national politicking again ? Their role is more heinous as they spread canards against the people and the country through country's money earned through scans like 'mononayon-banijya' and corruption.
At the present buoyant stage of the economy in which the state and its people in the backdrop of the possibility and prospects of the country as it has reached the status of the middle-status developed country as the growth of the economy is quite encouraging. What we need is a good goverance that has appeared to be quite holy duty of the incumbent government and it is quite sacrosanct of this fact and responsibility.
Knowing it property well that the state of emergency is going on in the country and the public opinion in favour of the government, both at home and abroad, is positive and quite encouraging, a section of the press are out to spread illegal canards against it only to fish in troubled water. It was also seen during the 'operation clean heart' of the government of 4-party alliance them crying hoarse in the name of 'fludamental rights of people' as that was the only property of the criminals and the general people, law-abiding and value -oriented, had no access to it,- the lives of properties of them were bartered for their puppetry to the alien mentors who have been 'bribing' them even since the '65 War in which India had to concede a humiliating defeat. All these things coupled with he Indian Foreign Affairs secretary's message transmitted to Sk.
Hasina to destabrilise the country once again to the tune of making it ineffectual through a 'secret' meeting with her as the core of it is to launch anti-government movement at the beginning of the next year ; so these can, well nigh, an tagonise these columnists the writer is a retired principal a columnist.
