Huge arms recovered in Ctg

In their predawn drive, police recovered huge firearms and ammunition and destroyed five dens of terrorists in a deep forest at Kanchannagar in Fatikchhari upazila Tuesday.

Tipped off that some terrorists were staying in a rubber forest of the area, a police team launched the drive shortly after midnight. As the law enforcers came close to a den, the terrorists opened fire on them and fled deeper into the hill under cover of darkness. Later, the police unearthed five dens of terrorists in the rugged forest and recovered a G-3 riffle, a 3o3 riffle, a double-barrel gun, one SLR gun, 345 rounds of bullet and four magazines.

They also demolished the dens during their drive that continued till 8am.
