The problem of CHT is still now hanging. Though they made a treaty with the JSS leader Shantu Larma, but he is a failure to establish peace here. Because the tribal young cadres are now out of control of Larma. They do not obey him. Some of them have made another platform named UPDF. This group is very strong in the CHT.

They collect toll form the people by force. Probably, they have a lot of arms and immunition. On the other side the TSS armed cadres are also active in the hills. Sometimes, they start gun battle in the hill. It is a matter of great regret that the so-called peace treaty is fully a failure in the area. Nearly, 30,000 Bengalis have been killed by the armed miscreants of JSS and UPDF. But, there is no murder case against them. Why? This is our question. We demand the trial of the killers of CHT.
