Bright colour, accomplished brush use, affluent presentation, provocative and imaginative themes--all these greatly enhance Kamrul Islam Nadim's paintings. He is a promising and an ardent artist in his thirties. He has played with texture and illusion of surface effects. His paintings are stylised, tranquil depictions of nature. Nadim's strokes are polished and different, sometimes almost pattern-like. Fascinated by Nature and its mysteries, his mind has been working firstly, with the emotional content of his personal life and secondly, with his tormented heart pressuring him to do work on the themes. In Nadim's uncomplicated and straightforward, simple compositions of multi-colours, red, black, emerald green, azure, beige, yellow, sapphire, crimson, etc seem to predominate. The colours of his canvas give us a romantic and imposing view. His mental canvas covers a wide vista of aesthetic impressions he has gathered from life.

Silence is another noticeable characteristic in his works. Nadim likes to keep himself from the society where we stay drowned in natural disaster, political instability, jealousy, religious zealotry and similar catastrophes. This is the personal hallmark in his creations.

Nadim's work is potent not only because of his bold use of colours, shades and profundity but because of the unique way in which he recognises his subject. He has tried to keep up an excellent co-existence between each painting. Nadim has narrated scenic and picturesque beauty in his own way. The style is a bit different and distinct. Over the times, Kamrul Islam Nadim belongs to the category of promising artists of Bangladesh. Nature, landscape and human figure dominate his themes. His preference for realism and contemporary style is manifest in his delineation of figures, uncanny faces and dreamy natural world. Various themes instigate his core of heart.

Celebration of colours and elusive lines has created emotional potency, tempering the impetuosity of movement and placing the focus on significant essentials in Nadim's compositions. His works are distinctive for sheer aesthetic balance. The vibrant colours, various shapes and forms clearly express his themes. Synchronisation of mostly mixed media and acrylic on paper and canvas is his forte. The colours are always used harmoniously in his creations. He always tries to ensure a happy combination between colours and forms. His figure and nature-oriented works are remarkably done in simple strokes with use of numerous tones, lines and unusual appearances.

Recently, the solo exhibition held at Alliance Francaise de Dacca.
