The photos taken during the recent flash flood occurred in Comilla devastating thousands of people marooned and destroyed mud houses

Nearly 30 villages in two upazilas of the Comilla district were flooded on 12 June, Tuesday as water rolled down from the hills damaging the embankment along the Kankri River. Locals said the embankment was severely damaged at seven points in Ujirpur union of Chouddagram Upazila. According to the locals 25 villages in Chouddagram Upazila and 5 in Sadar (South) Upazila went under water this morning, leaving over 1 lac people stranded. During flood time People are catching fish in the flood waters. Some people lost their cattle after the flood water entered their house. Women are collecting parts of their damaged fences.
