Ink Mark launches 2 books, 2 music videos

Ink Mark, a creative publishing and media house, launched two books and two music videos at Russian Cultural Centre in the city on June 4. A colourful musical performance by eminent and promising band artistes was also held there. The newly released two books - 'Bauliana, worshiping the Great God in Man' by eminent band artiste Maqsoodul Haque and 'Sadhoker Rangathala,' a poetical works by Shams Monwar.

The book 'Bauliana', a collection of essays in English on baul songs and Sadhoker Rangathala, a collection of Bengali poems.

Nurul Kabir, Editor of New Age, uncovered the books and the music videos titled 'Topoddhoni' by Shams and 'Best of Ink Mark,' composed by promising artists and musicians.

Nurul Kabir said, "Maqsoodul and Shams are two talents in their respective fields. Their works attract me and I take pleasure in presenting the two creative talents before the people."

"I have found expressions of honest feelings and thinking in the poem of Shams. His choice of words and the command over Bengali have convinced me that he really has a devotion to his vocation as a poet, "he also said.

The launching ceremony was followed by a power point presentation dubbed flash, a brief presentation featuring three tracks from the just released two musical videos' and cultural show with musical performance by Maqsoodul Haque and his band Dhaka, recitation presentation by Shams and live performance by the Ink Mark artiste. While the function ran, there was a make shift stall exhibiting different souvenir items, art works, along with the newly released books and VCDs for sale and display. The books are priced at Tk 100 each and the videos at Tk 50.
