Second Test in Dhaka: India pile up 326 for none

India Cricket team piled up a huge 326 for the loss of none in the unfinished first innings on the first day of the second Test of the Grameenphone Test Series at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday.

Skipper of Bangladesh Cricket team chose to field first after won in the coin session.

Wasim Jaffer and Dinesh Karthik, the two openers of India paved their path smooth adding together 175 in the opening stand before Dinesh Karthik became injured and returned to the pavilion.

Wasim Jaffer notched up a dazzling 138 (not out) off 229 balls. He struck 17 boundaries in his unfinished sparkling innings. Wasim's innings could be shorter if Mohammad Rafique did not miss a caught and bowled opportunity when Wasim was on 42.

It was Wasim's fourth Test century in his career so far.

Dinesh Karthik became injured making a fine 82 off 153 balls. He sent the ball twelve times through the ropes.

After tea when India's score was 175 off 52.5 overs Rahul Dravid, the most dependable batsman of India, came to the crease and hit an undefeated 88 using 131 deliveries amid 11 fours and a six. Rahul Dravid fulfilled his half century playing 75 balls.

Later, Wasim Jaffer became retired hurt and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar came to the crease when the board was giving a reading of 281 for the loss of none. Dravid and Tendulkar put up 108 runs before the two umpires pocketted the bails for the first day. Tendulkar remained undefeated with nine runs at the close of the play.

Habibul Bashar used six bowlers to break the Indian innings but none got success with the cherry.

Mashrafee Bin Mortaza bowled 19.4 overs with four maidens conceding 49 runs and Shakib Al Hasan, the other economic bowler of Bangladesh bowled 13 overs amid one over giving away 33 runs.
