The 3rd day of the 1st cricket test match between Bangladesh and India was abandoned because of the rain drenched outfield of Bir Shrestha Ruhul Amin Stadium on Sunday.

The match is likely to resume at 9-30 am today (Monday) if the field condition improves where waters logged at places due to heavy rains caused by depression in the Bay.

After inspection of the filed, umpires Billy Doctrove and Daryl Harper at 11 am called off yesterday’s play.

Batting on the first day and rain interrupted second day India have piled up 384 runs for 6 with Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly hitting centuries.

Interruptions have reduced the chances of getting a result from the match.
