The British High Commission here seeks clarification from Bangladesh authorities regarding a ban imposed on Awami League President Sheikh Hasina’s return to the country from the United States.

“We’re aware of the report and seeking for clarification (from the authorities concerned),” a spokesperson for the High Commission told UNB this (Wednesday) evening.

Earlier in the day, a press note of the Home Ministry put restrictions on Hasina’s planned return on April 23, in apprehension of a risk to country’s law and order, stability, public security and economic life.
