Bangladesh in Asia Cup Football

Bangladesh have been drawn in Group H of the Asia Cup Football--2007 qualifiers along with Hong Kong of China, Qatar and Uzbekistan. Neighbouring India are in Group 'A' with Yemen. Japan and Saudi Arabia while lucky Pakistan have been penciled in Group C to face Oman, UAE and Jordan. Since top two teams from each group will cruise to the final round of 16, it is really hard for Bangladesh to overcome.

Both Qatar and Uzbkistan are stronger than us in every department of football and they are tipped to qualify. The only side that Bangladesh can beat is Hong Kong ; but that too may be difficult if Hong Kong Football Association includes three Chinese players in the squad. As the qualifying round begins on February 22, soccer's governing body needs to chalk out comprehensive plan. But sadly we have heard nothing of this sort.

Like Bangladesh, we find no probability of India and Pakistan to go through to the final round. Yet they have already stepped in whereas BFF still hibernates.
